NLT:  1 John 3:16 "We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters."

KJB: 1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
the NLT completely removes "the love of God"

NLT: 1 John 5:7 "So we have these three witnesses."
KJB: 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
The NLT clearly changes this

the NLT is not very accurate and perverts the KJB in many many places

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
